The Truman Show

This weekend I watched the movie The Truman Show. The movie is about what if we filmed a person 24/7 since birth. I watched it once when I was in like 7th grade because I want to say we were learning about narratives. But I recently rewatched it since it's been a long time, and I noticed a lot more than before. I think the director of the moving did an amazing job of framing the camera to focus on the main character Truman played by Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey, in almost every film, plays the goofball kind of guy. This film is a goofball movie at certain points within the film. But Once it gets serious, Jim Carrey protays emotions very well.

One of the examples I thought the director of the movie did a clear job of portraying was the idea that there are product placements throughout the movie. A couple of examples are shown above within the clip. I kept looking for them throughout the film. It kept my attention longer just trying to find everything. With this movie, I thought that overall Jim Carrey's goofiness, the director had chosen an interesting character to portray a different topic from most other movies.
