Bullet Train

  I rewatched the movie called  Bullet Train;  the director is David Leitch. I saw this movie during Covid; this week in the class, we focused on the experiences of seeing a movie in person versus being alone. So I rewatched this movie alone; I can tell you it was a different experience. The driving point of the film is about trying to steal a suitcase full of money. Each character within the film has different motives; however, they are all getting played by a mastermind. One of the characters in the movie is named Lady Bug, played by the actor Brad Pitt. Throughout the movie, we see why Brad Pitt is Lady Bug due to his luckiness throughout the film. Brad Pitt character in the movie, has an existential crisis about whether or not he is lucky or has horrible luck. Throughout the film, we meet other characters who come from all different walks of life. However, they all encountered each other prior to the job on the bullet train. The Social Dilemma

  This week we focused on watching the documentary  The Social Dilemma.  The documentary focuses on how social media affects the world and the people who live in it. The director's main arguments for the film focused on how social media can affect adults, children, and countries. Watching this documentary and hearing what the engineers were saying about making social media platforms made me disgusted with what they could do. I thought the engineers of the social media platforms were somewhat opposed to what they were saying. It is almost like they could get in trouble with what they were talking about in the documentary.   Throughout the film, the director added cuts back n forth between a family and the interviewers. I thought the director did this intentionally to show how social media could impact a family. Especially throughout the film, we see the son constantly looking at his phone.
